The Facility
The Cybernook facility of the CAS Library is located at the right wing area (at the back of the Stack Area). It provides computing, scanning, printing and web services. Available computers are installed with Adobe Creative Suite that gives users access to collection of apps for photography, graphic design, video editing, web development and cloud services.
Authorization
The use of the UP Manila Network is conditional upon enrollment and the granting of a Authentication and Directory Service (ADS) account. The granting of ADS account will constitute authorization for use of facilities subject to the provisions of the UP System Acceptable Use Policy for IT Resources
Using a Computer
The use of any public computer in the Cybernook facility is open only to enrolled students, staff and Faculty of UP Manila or any other person authorized by the Head Librarian of the CAS Library. A client may use a computer in the Cybernook after scanning the barcode of his duly countersigned ID upon entrance (and when done upon exit of the facility). By scanning the ID's barcode, the system will log the start time and end of his/her session in the Cybernook. All other users will be charged P20.00 per hour.
Requesting a Print Job
Public computers in the Cybernook were disabled to send print jobs directly to printer. Convert or export your files to PDF format to avoid being reformatted and save to flash drive or send to designated email address to be printed.
